We're in a tough position of needing to confront our society's demons, both by voters and elected officials taking the high road by choice. We shouldn't need to call for anyone's resignation, we should have a system that polices itself.

(And I realize my sentiment is not realistic, not anywhere close to plausible, but collective sensibility ought to win the day. Why don't we have more public servants with unwavering integrity, genuinely capable of shame and remorse)

I can't stand Franken (to put it mildly) but I don't think he should step down unless it turns out he has continued this behavior while he has served as Senator.

1. They are true. 2. At the very least censure is in order 3. These are usually not lone incidents, more will likely come forward in which case he needs to resign.

1. Probably. 2. Disagree; he wasn’t a Senator at the time. 3. If a few more incidents, from after he was elected, are revealed, then I will support his resignation.
