      Maybe I’m ignorant of Spanish politics, but #Catalonia secession will give undue license to other groups to leave their nations & weaken EU.

      In short, when Europe splinters into different ethnic/historic/governmental factions, a singular & cohesive EU strategy is harder to follow.

      not true, remember Yugoslavia - broken up and better for it, the Kurds need there own state - everybody needs a home

      Yugoslavia was more complicated, and the Kurds aren’t in the EU (but they should get their own state).
