The South found out the hard way what happens when people try to exit. The U.S. will never really let any territories/states leave.

Im not as sure of that these days as I used to be. I have heard rumblings from both sides of the states political spectrum. Folks from more Liberal states feeling theyd be better off out. GOPers threatening civil war and secession over trumps impending impeachment.

Yeah, but those are often the same liberals who threatened to move to Canada…and 12 months later have made zero progress in leaving.
