I'll be getting PRK eye surgery tomorrow (it's like LASIK but with a longer recovery time), so I will be offline for several days. 2020 is the perfect year to get perfect vision, even amidst a maelstrom of diverse crises.
My nearsightedness is just as great now as it was before my PRK. My procedure was as flawless as can be expected, and I have tested 20/20 vision now in both eyes. I’m still extra light-sensitive but that will supposedly fade over a few more months.

Can you tell me more about what you mean by extra light sensitive?

Sometimes, usually when outside, everything feels particularly bright, & I have to wear sunglasses to prevent my eyes from tearing up. On clear days I sometimes can’t hold my gaze on a plane or the top of a tree for 10 seconds without being overwhelmed. This will pass over time.
