--@secretaryofmass says there are about 1400-1500 uncounted votes in Franklin, Newton and Wellesley
--Galvin also says Auchincloss is currently leading Mermell by about 1700 votes
--He's gone to court to get every vote received by 8 pm yesterday counted

--Auchincloss says: "Every vote the in the Massachusetts Fourth received before 8 pm last night must be counted." --That's what Galvin is going for, but Mermell may have other ideas. Her campaign manager's email to town clerks today asked for (among other things)...

..."How many late ballots do you currently have (i.e. ballots that are in drop boxes, pulled from drop boxes after 8 pm last night and not counted or still coming in via mail today?" Again, that's Mermell's campaign manager.

--Galvin told me last week he thought the SJC's ruling would put the matter to rest. But--and I'm no attorney--what if Mermell makes a similar but distinct legal argument, leaning on what we now know about how the system did and didn't work on Primary Day?
