I'll be getting PRK eye surgery tomorrow (it's like LASIK but with a longer recovery time), so I will be offline for several days. 2020 is the perfect year to get perfect vision, even amidst a maelstrom of diverse crises.

The first 48 hours were very unpleasant, but I’m recovering pretty well. My eyesight isn’t very great now but it’s a fairly long recovery. Definitely don’t skimp on the painkillers and eye drops! Good luck!

Hi! I’m scheduled for PRK soon. Trying to get an understanding of people’s experiences - there are SUCH a wide array online. I’m wondering what your prescription was & how many days after surgery 1) you couldn’t be in light and 2) you couldn’t see your screen?

My prescription was -3 in one eye, -2 in the other. My eyes were super light-sensitive for 3-4 days and then it tapered off (I am still extra sensitive to light 45 days later, and that could last for a long time). Reading text on screens got tolerable about 7 days after surgery.
