I agree that Trump should’ve been impeached by now, but impeachment being a political process, it wasn’t going to pass anyway. When/If the Democrats think they can get the votes, I believe Lynch and almost every other Democrat will vote to impeach.

Consider the political fallout of Trump is impeached and only 33% of House members vote to impeach. I reckon Trump would look stronger and be emboldened by the Democratic failure to remove him, strengthening the Republican narrative and energizing more Republicans to vote in Nov.
