Forgetting the entropic forces of Barcelona v United every week, this means we’ll never get another Real Madrid v Galatasaray thriller EVER again.

Perhaps a solution here would be to stop paying famous people huge sums of money to put their name on books other people ghostwrite

A book by Billie Eilish cost her publisher well over $1 million. But it sold only about 64,000 hardcover copies since it came out in May, highlighting the difficulty in predicting how well a book will sell. nyti.ms/3rK5pQu

“We met one of the Sheikh’s sons & he took us back to the palace!” 😮 “We were on the hunt for beers and we ended up at a big palace, we saw his monkeys & exotic birds!” 🐒 These England fans are out in Qatar & you HAVE to listen to their story! 🤣 #FIFAWorldCup  #TSWorldCup

Weird that a core drama in THE X FILES is that Mulder is a weirdo and his operation a joke, even though every episode he solves some ancient mystery and/or proves the existence of higher intelligence while everyone else in the FBI weeps like man babies

There’s a very “tortured artist” vibe about this Spain side. Going through a dry period, just replicating the same practices of old, hoping inspiration will come

Having watched the Mo Lahyani pep talk video, I understand it despite its unethical nature. He’s sitting there watching the sport be dragged under by NK, and the fans. Wants to bring it back from disrepute (and then, by doing so, adds to the shambles). But I *get* it.

I think one of the least discussed aspects of Japan over here is the sheer dedication people have to getting as absolutely shitfaced as possible

S******** has taught people that names in fiction may have meaning… almost 20 years after LOST dared to have characters called Jack Shepherd and John Locke. I love media literary, it’s wonderful, it points the way! we are all doomed

At least after Brexit and Trump, the old debate of who is smarter - Britons or Americans - is finally settled. And the answer is Canadians.

Finished THE INNOCENCE FILES. Incredible show. We all know how corrupt (or inept [or racist]) the American justice system is. But it’s still edifying to watch a show that is as humane as it is unsensationalised.

the biggest scam/trick that online journalism conducted is to convince writers that their deepest secrets and traumas are worth just £100

Fittingly for #WholesomeSnack, our last game is a real treat! I haven't laughed this hard at a trailer since Untitled Goose Game 🤣 @LittleKittyGame put together a good one and I couldn't resist saving it for last. Thanks to all the devs who brought this showcase to life 💖

Last year I applied to CW PhDs with an extract from my novel and struck out. No offers. Was bad. I tried again this year with the latest draft. Why not? 2 days ago I got 2 acceptances in one day. Fully funded. Fellowship. Some amazing kind words from great writers.

Look IDK about you, but now is the perfect time to visit Japan as there are fewer crowds, cheaper hotels and when you get back from your holiday your job will make you stay at home for two weeks. This is a win-win.
