The way I see it is the abolitionist movement started in 1830, blacks have been protesting for change since even before then and here we are 190 years later and we still can't arrest and charge 4 cops for murder who are on camera killing a black man. Peaceful protests my ass.
What these uprisings have done is MAKE young folk recognize AND confront their LOCAL officials AND authorities.The national pageantry & hipocracy exposed-Aggressively question local even when it seems ‘boring’.
