So please tell me where the hell a YouTuber is supposed to go next. There is NO competing website for YouTube. You think people actually make money on Vimeo and Dailymotion? If you're banned on YouTube your entire career is over, you need to completely change your entire life.

If you get fired at Walmart, you just get a job at Target. Being banned for life on YouTube, which has a MONOPOLY, means you need to change your entire career to something else. Your whole life's work means nothing now.

I spent 10 YEARS gaining the skills necessary and working my ass off to get my channel from 0 - 120,000 subs. Then I got banned for life and now there is nowhere to go. I'd seriously trade 2 years in prison to have my channel back.

I can't WAIT for a competitor to come up, people will leave YouTube in MASSES. Ninja leaving Twitch for Mixer was such a good sign, soon there will be a similar thing happening with content creators leaving YouTube for a new competitor.

You can start a new channel on YouTube. You can stream on Twitch, Facebook, and Mixer. You can build an audience on Instagram and make lots of money. Also, if a competitor to YouTube shows up it'll be bought up by a big company, just like Twitch was bought by Amazon.

If you built a big following on YouTube and nowhere else, that's a super risky way of going about things. I started late on Twitch but I diversified there a couple years ago and building a community on discord. The demonetisation of 2017 spurred me to move eggs to other baskets.

And in terms of Ninja leaving for Mixer, he didn't leave because it's better. He was paid to move. And everyone was singing praises of Twitch a few years ago. Same thing will happen to Mixer and people will be asking for another competitor.

Most YouTubers don't make video game content or any other content that is even remotely similar to streaming. I made Star Wars fan theory videos that took a MONTH to make and edit, I can't just start streaming or making Instagram posts about that.

Only a very very small amount of YouTubers could just switch to streaming. 99% of people would have to start from absolute scratch, doing something completely different and go from 0 to successful again, which is HARD.

And a new competing website might not be bought out, but even if it was, it's still competition, it's still good. Having 2-3 video platforms is better than 1.

And Ninja said on stream that he didn't leave because of money. But he said he couldn't disclose very much right now. But even if it was for money it doesn't matter, monopolies are bad, competition is good. And even if people complain about the new site, it's still good.

You can upload that Star Wars video to premiere on Twitch right now. It doesn't have to be streaming. Plus, whatever the topic, you can diversify your content to live streaming too. Stream a podcast of you talking about Star Wars. Fact is, if you don't diversify, it's risky.

And totally, competition is good, but it's been years and Twitch was the competitor to YouTube and now people hate it too. Now Mixer is the competitor and people will hate that in 3 years. There will never be a 'safe' platform to create content.
