I’m trying to think of the last time the flu took out thirty New York cops in a matter of months, or caused people long term damage to their organs...or led to amputations. That’s not “hype” man. That’s from the data.

I see people who not only die, unable to utilize the oxygen that’s given to them, but I see people who can no longer work at their jobs, who are going bankrupt from Med bills, who lost family members. The mechanism of flu is different and we are lucky to have a vaccine.

You might as well be telling people that you don't quite believe that 2 + 2 = 4 but might as well agree to it when adding.

In the news just today. Alberta has had more deaths from COVID in 10 months than deaths from flu in 10 years.

I never take the flu vaccine, I won't take the Covid vaccine either. From what I've read, you can still catch C19 even with the vaccine, so what's the point? I've already caught it & know many that have as well. No one had any issues and recovered 100%. So I'll pass on the vax

So is this just like a feeling or is it based on some kind of science?

Australia managed to have 1/10 of the American deaths per capita, with much less economic trauma, while keeping everyone fed and in their homes, with full health care. Two one month lockdowns. 908 dead in 25M people. No restrictions now. Same in New Zealand.
