Although I understand your point, isolation is not the main issue. All the regions are isolated to an extend too, aint it? This is huge for SA Dota in my opinion
Also while I love the idea of league play, SA has a lot to lose from this particular model (at this time). One of the perks of the minors has been that teams that have otherwise been isolated gain valuable international experience. SA has always struggled with isolation.

People in EU can play on multiple servers without sacrificing a ridiculous amount in ping. SA players have always been at a disadvantage and cannot scrim much outside of NA. Without opportunities to play outside your region, things can stagnate badly.

I do hope we get some interleague play where regions visit each other outside of the Majors for like Super Minors. Like a DotA Bowl haha.

Some EU/China champions league type thing would be cool. Top 4 teams in the T1 EU league vs top 4 teams in the T1 CN league play in a small yearly tournament.

Hopefully, the more regular competitive play and money brought to SA from the league will help the SA teams more easily qualify to the Majors

while i agree the international play is important i think a lot of regions are going to benefit from just being able to play constistantly instead of just for 4 or 5 days every couple of months.
