Adolph Reed coulda written a much, much better article about the myth of class reductionism. He doesn't miss too many chances to clear the bases but he did on that one.

As Aimee noted, correctly, there’s a tendency to have these folks on shows or in magazines and then to subtly kneecap their ideas. Like hiring a wise man and then talking over him the whole time, making him into a fool
