As you know, I like to explore the mechanics of tweeting. Here we see a typical open-ended Chapo-style joke (I assume it's a joke) & then some reply people nosing around to see if the OP is becoming a "bit of a contrarian."The OP then says it is directed at the dumb reactionariespic.twitter.com/pojQjhXnzM
it is the actions involved here that interest me: 1) what calculations went into the first post (this account is known for similar joke tweets)? 2) why are reply guy cops sniffing around? 3) how would the OP respond if dogpiled on as a "contrarian?" Apology? Re-branding?
My theory is that a tweet like this is a "feeler." If it works, and really draws some engagement, you can double down on it and do more such posts. If it fails or draws reply guy cop scrutiny, you can say it doesn't mean what they think it means and delete it a few days later
