The fact that it is more important for “people” writ large to apologize for general crimes of history than it is for the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha aka “Windsor” to apologize for specific and easily documented crimes for which redress can be given is tea, sis + the thesis
“Prince” Harry and my dead father are equally problematic and equally exploitative, you see. And any ideology that hammers that point home, be it psychology (“why, Jeff Bezos hurts more than you...deep down!”) or what have you, is Doing the Work
I mean, do you know how happy the heirs of United Fruit wealth and others like them must be that we are dealing in such empty generalities rather than holding them to account for easily substantiated crimes against humanity? Love to see it. We are all sinners before the Lord!

I don't agree with the craze surrounding "public apologies" other than expressing the group/person's piety and virtue what more materially does an apology actually do? What real good would apologizing for the Iraq war or whatever actually do for anyone?
