My first memories of NE was in the 60s or 70s. People grabbed them for the gory photos in the center spread. Nothing like a picture of a kid impaled on a picket fence or victims of a head on crash sprawled across the asphalt to start your day.

(also known as the “Monica Lewinsky scandal,” though not to her). Yeah, funny how that works. In the very beginning of that scandal, I recall Stephanopolous (who would later disloyally tell Clinton to resign) spin Monica in even stranger ways.
