True story tho, my mom banned me from watching Hazzard as a kid b/c it was "too fucking stupid". It sucked, the other kids talked about the show all the time & I was left out, now I am a middle aged adult w/social anxiety. Thanks mom.
"It's stupid" is wht the parents of Hayes likely banned it, if they banned it at all. He's retconning the past to deal with the disappointment
