hmmm well, things have been bleaker in the past, and the working class has prevailed to some degree. I've been reading Jane McAlevey's work. It's uplifting. I believe unions can at least prevent some of the worse excesses of capitalism.

i hope so. that's a front where we need to see some movement in the us. but we also need to see some political realignment, some change in political personnel, if at all possible.
