That's what's odd about this. The 'hate speech' policy is very much in line with r/CTH's politics. However, CTH kept getting in trouble for inadequate moderation, which is probably more what that ban is about (mods ignoring 'death threats' that admins have to clean up)

It's also probably a "1-for-1" thing where they think if they dump CTH and Cumtown they'll get less heat for dumping The Donald and Gender Critical
