the challenge with a take -- a true take, a pure take -- is trying to arrive at this take by merely ***feeling*** the direction of the takewinds, without even reading a word of them. this is the essential work. i'm here for it.

if you were doing the work, you'd write takes for each possible direction, and publish the one that wins out. like what they do with superbowl victory tshirts. they're doing the work.

i know a few "opinion journos" who have takes "in the can" for various scenarios. some pre-written, some just bullet points. akin to having obituaries "in the can" for people at death's doorstep.

yes, AI takes, especially simple takes and SEO-type marketing and publicity copy, are already in the works. it's unlikely that most opinions will be generated by humans in a decade or so, aside from places like "The Gray Lady"
