Always remember, the faithful believe they are disciplining workers for the benefit of workers. None of these people can explain the exact mechanism by which their invented moral code actually benefits the “marginalized” this is simply an article of faith. 1/https://twitter.com/Alice_Evelyn_/status/1265709601535586304 …

Alice can’t tell you why making the social and cultural norms of the PMCs into a moral code that needs to be enforced is politically useful. This is what was taught at the church and questioning its logic and utility is an act of immorality unto itself. 2/

You just have to attach words like bigotry, oppression, abuse, harm, etc... to give your claims moral urgency - then what you don’t have to do is explain how the rituals, the beliefs and the disciplinary mechanisms of the church work to help anybody in practice. 3/

This is the only demonstration of power that this subset of PMCs can muster. Since they have no grasp over any levers of the machine they only have their ability to discipline workers with arbitrary nonsense to demonstrate. They want to be the HR department of neoliberalism. 4/

The Left’s position is therefore fundamentally adversarial relative to the working class. The HR department doesn’t work on behalf of the employees, it works on behalf of the company. It must pretend that it’s sympathetic to workers to successfully exert control over them. /end

that's exactly right ... "soft" control is the best control of all .... ultimately what they hope to become, if all goes according to plan, are HR managers of a servile or "serf" population (see H. Belloc's "The Servile State" for more on that)
