Before the internet, USA Today had one of the best baseball statistics/box scores sections. That was the primary value of what I believe was the "red" section. Sometimes I'd skim the "purple" section
Those were the two colors I remember. That and the Larry King column...lots of quick takes in there. Almost a proto-Twitter
