until the universities themselves begin suffering funding shortfalls, as some are, that won't happen
the primary driver of reform in any area will be the approach of financial extinction, i imagine. and you can really manage those well while still collecting checks. i've overseen or assisted with the demobilization of several business units in the past 2 years. get that $$$

their response to embarrassment is often unequal, particularly if they've got some measure of control over you. tenure-track profs need to behave like sheep lest they be fed to the wolves. i didn't care, and make way more money now, but it was fascinating
