I've only used a cambered bar for squats.

I use it for both. It has more immediate value in terms of preserving shoulder life for squats, but the effect on the bench is interesting

Both of those things. Oddly enough it also seems to reduce the bit of front shoulder strain I feel even with very good barbell form. But you can't move as much
