corporate-managed speech is the new normal. voluntary agreements to follow corporate speech codes in exchange for producing content for a social media site, or speaking while doing some gig work, or whatever. "can i speak to the manager" will eventually replace the court system

people like to fire each other. they like to see "results." management also likes this. companies enjoy removing "pest" users of their products, too. it's all good PR. it all works in concert. the corporate speech world is a great world for a "hall monitor" or "tattletale" type

i don't particularly care. i've been under various thumbs for so long that i know how to engage in samizdat or coded communications, as needed. i know how to make points within other points. i can swim in these waters. many others will be drowned. that's the tea.
