the reason i've done #5 is because i know the HR world. we really "do the work" of documentation. buttoning it up, as it were.
another common complaint leveled at people critiquing the work of other, supposedly like-minded people is that this harms "the work" writ large. this presumes those people and the person making the critique are doing the same work.
this isn't true, in many cases. sometimes people who seem as though they should be aligned with you are advancing other goals. perhaps they're careerists. perhaps they're following class interests they may not even be aware of. who can say? but it bears noting.
"critique" of the sort practiced on facebook, where libtards battle republicants in threads full of misinformation, is worthless and leads nowhere. each assumes the ignorance of the other. the liberal side, owing to the work of the daily show in the 2000s, presumes "correctness"
but that is beside the point. there is little use in me, ensconced in one particular space, studying one particular thing carefully, teaching a duck dynasty viewer the error of their ways. however there's value in me explaining why actors supposedly on one's side actually aren't
