Not for nothing all the best English-speaking lifting & track coaches (Simmons, Francis) all think so highly of the Soviets. It really is a gong show with how sports is done in North America. Just grind kids thru bad coaches, & talent floats to the top. Zero athlete development.
Yeah, they'd be better off going through 25 years of sports training and then becoming state funded coaches than going to college to study football and pretend to study history (on paper). A waste of time
