My #1 hottest take is that there are no class traitors. There are just people pursuing their class interests in a variety of costumes.

maybe. he seems like a curious bon vivant, a man of the commercial classes who absorbed certain values of the aristocracy...which isn't necessarily a bad thing, as @tereseaimee often says. but i would've had to work alongside the man. i've never known one, personally
