in a market economy, the most successful "socialists" will just be millionaires or the children of millionaires. Their socialism is "successful" if it's marketed to a collection of professional-intellectual sycophants (who try to ride their coattails) and gullible true believers

these people need not, indeed should not, actually be successful at implementing socialist reforms. They need only succeed at implementing socialist branding atop your standard nonprofit scab operation: a few paid intellectual henchmen + a legion of volunteers who work for free
