I heard that since spotify only pays once you listen to a track for a least 30 seconds, long intros are gone and the hook is much closer to the start
I miss the era of LPs that were bloated with "chatter," "skits," white noise outros, etc. I genuinely miss it. Now corporations shovel targeted trash into your sick guts via social media, instead of corporate performers shoveling skippable leftover shit into physical albums
