yes, i couldn't pay even lip service to it while working in that world so remained silent -- i respect the idealism of those genuinely committed to a cause, certainly -- because i am a pragmatic person at heart and live/work in the world of the possible.

I don't think there's a shortage of "possibility" in those conversations, I spent a lot of time around the theological side of those convos so that tends to put an even more hopeful spin on things. But it's so often at the expense of material, constructive political thinking.
