even then, the transfer of wealth to an artistic-aesthetic activst caste will most likely produce captured "court painters," etc. a truly parasitic inward-looking class dependent on that voluntary sharing of wealth. plenty of examples of that now, anyway.

I don't see a way, realistically, that this person wouldn't be playing out their class interests, even if they were some Leo Tolstoy type. Leadership will have to come from within the working class. The working class will have to do all the heavy lifting.
