Will the general strike entail striking against the rich parents propping up some of the most visible and most nice loft-having activists behind the general strike? Asking for a friend who is rich, and wants to stay that way

union delegate here - I find it hilarious when people who've never even been a union member start going on about "general strikes" labor activism ain't easy - if you want a general strike 20 years from now, organize a strike at your job now

Precisely, though I suppose the "general strike" is a great, fun concept when you don't work or even need money. Just like the rent strike being even cooler if you don't pay rent (obviously if your parents are landlords, their tenants would still need to pay them)
