never been a big fan of a singling out "villains" and "scandals" for special coverage, because doing so leads people to believe that other leaders aren't acting in their basest self-interest to the exclusion of everything else + the normal operation of society isn't a scandal

i mean, come on. that sort of narrative is for the birds. it's kid's stuff. but it's like mother's milk on social media, and the Extremely Online "kids" lap it up! you'd think there are only 5 saintly leaders and 5 devils, all of whom are talked about endlessly

take, for example, "sebastian gorka," a total nobody. if that man's name didn't make the rounds during the heady days of alt-right coverage and didn't become a Larry "Bud" Melman-esque punchline on the podcast circuit, who would care about him? who should?
