a) it's a podcast, which means it sells jocularity and the imagination that these are your buddies, like they all do but also b) they do pose reasonable questions and suggest solutions, and they have introduced a lot of listeners to some good ideas?

Also, chapo's the opposite of takes. Takes by definition have no coherent politics or ideology - theyre just reflexive contrarianism utilizing vaguely political language. Chapo by comparison has a consistent politics which the shows uniformly propose/advance (in bro-y fashion).

They have a popular podcast and are making money from it. I'm not seeing your point. Meanwhile, as obnoxious as Chapo might be, the center-left has been so intoxicated by the political convenience of incrimentalism that their policy prescriptions have become all but irrelevant.

Not quite. They were an established part of that system before they began making money, one of them in particular, and they organized within an emerging payment technology to make more money. This is the case for a lot of new left media.
