The take hustle is a self sustaining economy, of sorts

As you know, 25% of my output is just saying what you tweeted, over and over. I study their content, but not enough to listen to it. And the dipshits would be the first to mock Jimmy Fallon, which is all this is

      a) it's a podcast, which means it sells jocularity and the imagination that these are your buddies, like they all do but also b) they do pose reasonable questions and suggest solutions, and they have introduced a lot of listeners to some good ideas?

Also, chapo's the opposite of takes. Takes by definition have no coherent politics or ideology - theyre just reflexive contrarianism utilizing vaguely political language. Chapo by comparison has a consistent politics which the shows uniformly propose/advance (in bro-y fashion).

All Marxism did for me in grad school from 04 to 12 was put me at odds with all but the likes of @SirJonSherrit7 , obviously the work wasn't as lucrative then

They have a popular podcast and are making money from it. I'm not seeing your point. Meanwhile, as obnoxious as Chapo might be, the center-left has been so intoxicated by the political convenience of incrimentalism that their policy prescriptions have become all but irrelevant.

(I know your point isn't that they are benefiting from the very system they criticize, and that this fact invalidates any critique they might make)

Not quite. They were an established part of that system before they began making money, one of them in particular, and they organized within an emerging payment technology to make more money. This is the case for a lot of new left media.

I don't have faith in any policy prescriptions at this point, which was also the conclusion of my dissertation on school finance litigation: the "schools" writ large have always been failing, since the day they opened, no matter what is done for them. They still have to operate

The worked for Steve Jobs. And, um, Elizabeth Holmes. Usually, St. Patrick's day is my last turtleneck day of the year (underneath a cliche Aran knit sweater). Unless I ski. Both cancelled this year.

Fine. In a political context defined by limited resources (and indeed one party intentionally withholding resources to create the kind institutional failures that validate their anti-institution worldview), "failure" is inevitable as both an outcome and a rhetorical device.

But Chapo. That doesn't get to the question of whether they are primary or incidental participants in the Take Hustle. It seems like Takes by definition don't advance a cohesive ideology. Chapo does. Their (I suppose) obnoxious style aside, that would seem to exclude them.
