Some country people I have known drink that way. People w 4 wheelers etc I've hung out with in obscure parts of upstate NY.
Such places are just 10 miles or so outside of well known minor towns like Binghamton, but it's a culture of its own. Go in a bar there and you get that right away. It's Deliverance a few miles north.
