Just doing some apple prep, as one does. More of a “Hodge crush” here, but this is a wider applepic.twitter.com/4jHVlQS693

And then what? Bake? And if so, why not cut and remove seeds first?

I just mush it in my hands and eat it. That’s how I’ve done it since I was a teenager

That is both strange and...kind of endearing in HULK EAT way. Is this a "just you" thing or did your family do that growing up? I've salted them before. And dipped them in rice vinegar. But never given them a good, old-fashioned mushing.

My dad ate pomegranates like apples. He’d juice oranges and eat banana peels. We never used box cutters to open boxes or snap zip ties because that was “admitting defeat.” Dude could snap chains and cuffs. He was a rectangle-shaped monster

He wasn’t afraid to eat out of the trash or garbage disposal, either. He’d had an unusual upbringing in a very rural area

Glad he’s not here for this, but he was always “prepped” a year out
