My advice to ESPN and the other sports sites is to hire me and @olivercopp to write simulated and fantasy sports stories to fill all the space, lest we become inundated with "the world without sports" hot takes and stories
I wrote several million words of fantasy wrestling during the heyday of e-wrestling. The great e-wrestler @JimJividen has literally been posting his fantasy sports stories for years. @MUGGER1955 , you remember my Walter Young fantasy story, so prepare for more of those
Or they could just stream the EA and 2k games all day, with some kind of phony narrative behind them and people doing commentary from home

You know that I'm game :-). Gotta keep things fresh, and this would give a whole new meaning to the term "fantasy sports" 
Just know that if I booked the NFL, the Cowboys would win every Super Bowl. Why? Because they have a lot of catching up to do ;-). The last time they won the Super Bowl, I was in university. Now I'm middle-aged :-)
