but not sex. there is no sex in there. there is not even a hint of sex. other than roshi, i don't remember anyone being "attracted" to anyone else except maybe in the filler. only "confused"

there are similarly horny characters on the margins but none of the z fighters worth their salt, yes. the less horny, the more powerful. what takes its place in the form of intimacy is battle, the exchange of ejaculatory energy blasts and trembly close combat

goku comes closest to loving the creatures that almost vanquish him. some of his close-ups with frieza are like fetish shots

it is finally a pink ball of pure id (but de-sexualized of course) that bests them all

that's it. that's the culmination of the series. they are drenched in buu and only weird "conjunction" experiments (experimental sex? manipulation of the fabric of time? abolition of the family???) can save reality

though buu is ultimately toppled by a galaxy-wide spirit bomb, everyone pitching in, together vanquishing the creature that represents unchecked human impulse. the collective conquering the untampered-with id of the individual???

yes, collective effort to transcend the id, to "sublimate" base desire in favor of colorful costumes and beautiful, beautiful muscles

these people are muscular angels, in other words...angels needn't ever have sex, only beautiful, well-lit muscles. to be like the angels, we must banish buu-like desire. it may explain the entire sexual psychology of the culture that created it and the people who consumed it
