One of the cool things about twitter is how you can step back and really do some Geertzian "thick description" of the rich thirtysomething perma-kids who didn't have careers but are now patreon-funded advocates for some weird kind of aesthetic, literary, "cool" leftism
A very cool & very insidious way to pay your bills is to get people to fund your Holy Crusade (to pay for the brownstone, brunch, etc.). It's also funny when those "kids" erupt when their not-so-secret pasts of privilege are revealed. "how dare you remind me my dad is a senator!"
