Yes, he came up in law school as a kind of center-left Richard Posner/Cass Sunstein/Guido Calabresi type.
Back when I was in law school, he was held up by professors as the future of the legal academy...and he's done well, I suppose. Tenured, big school, big salary, but he's repositioned himself throughout his career. Love to see it
