The same even goes for writing, history, whatever. I don't sit on my work like it's some kind of golden egg I'm hatching. I push it out there, invoice it, and move on

One thing I've learned from covering many of the "alpha nerd" subjects (wrestling, comics, lifting, etc.) is that many of the followers of those hobbies will instantly pit their bona fides against mine Which is fine because a) I don't care b) usually only one of us is being paid

You can out-bench me? Cool, that's something I do in my basement. Know more about comics? Great, I don't spend money on that...I generally just read the pdfs I'm sent. Know more about wrestling? Neat. Happy to get paid writing a story you know more about
