Very good FCS level WR just left college after his JR yr. He's not the best WR on his team entering the draft, but a family member is also trying to make it to the NFL, so they want to go to the NFL together. 1/?

Said this yesterday, there are just over 2k potential spots for American players in the NFL and CFL. There are 254 NFL draft picks. In study of 2010-14 on how many players get drafted at each position. 31 WRs were drafted on avg, a lot made camps, but camp doesn't pay bills. 2/pic.twitter.com/kkKot6MTFt

Is this kid I'm talking about a very good player? Yes. Is he one of Top 300 players or top 30 WRs? Probably not. He so clearly would have been best served by going back to college. There really should be some accountability for agents who are giving these kids bad advice. 3/3

Every1 knows it's hard to make the NFL, but so few really have any idea how hard it is. So many agents are taken advantage of players. 135 underclassmen declared for the NFL draft last year. As of four days ago, there were 99 underclassmen declaring for this year's draft.

Further on this kid: Two very good WRs were leaving as seniors. He was in line to get a huge boost in targets as a senior. Was in prime position to boost his stock and he just left. Sad.
