There are three ways to do the Work of picking a candidate. The first is to pick whoever has the best hair, aka the Traditional route. Another way is to read approx 500 Vox and TPM explainers and then do a little game theory. The third is putting a finger on the pulse of twitter
If you’re opting for the third route, you need to agonize over this for months at a time, either justifying a candidate’s minor missteps if your followers are ok with them or burying them if you feel it could be good for your influence and brand. This is the Work, for the Kids
