Here's the thing. In my DSA chapter I saw it happen in real time. I'm sure it generalizes. At the start of the DSA bump there was actual working-class interest and working-class people showing up. It was the categorically "leftist" activist/socialist/grad students

I can't even do the depth of the problem justice. For ex, the "doing the work" emphasis of the productive PMCs just won't work for a working class org. You just won't be able to do all the pet projects and a million tiny personalized projects. Chapters and an org led by working
