I like when all the Take Stars rush to judgment with their hot takes about a story that is either underreported or for which the facts eventually contradict the take. This doesn’t make the takes feel less true, however. They’re truer if you feel them in your heart, not your head

Sure, this might de-legitimize whatever movement you’re part of, but if it gets you several hundred faves and retweets in the first thirty minutes while the story was trending, you Did the Work and moved the needle. You were here for it. You love to see it

And maybe you’ll be right in the long run. William Miller predicted the end of the world in October 1844, and he’ll eventually be proven right, just not right now. Everything is possible and everything is true in the long run, if you keep Doing the Work.
