I only ever "got political" once, back when I ran for Student Bar Association president in law school. My platform was simple: end the free booze parties and return the $300 student fee to the students to use for book purchases. I finished a distant second out of 3-4 people

I've had alcohol a half dozen times in my life and that was a half doz times too many for this privately puritanical Work-Doer who opposes government efforts to fund anything with a viewpoint except maybe being taxed to give steroids to Olympic athletes and MMA people...that's ok
