By its own account, the Daily Northwestern, and every other organization that can plausibly purport to report the news, should slink away in shame and nothing should ever be published again, writes @CrispinSartwell. @TomJoyceSports.https://www.splicetoday.com/writing/totalitarianism-of-feelings#.XdM_PNk40IA.twitter …

Great read, Crispin. I went to a very left journalism school and the teachers really didn't teach anything. They just talked about politics and everyone was for Bernie except a couple of girls who liked Hillary because woman. Definitely some poor examples set in the classroom

I didn’t go to journalism school, waste of money to be herded with brown-nose students and condescending teachers. And that was in the 1970s.

Haha sounds about right. It probably hasn't changed much in that regard. One of my teachers thought I had something wrong in my personal life because I didn't engage in her class. in reality, I played pokemon on my computer, blogged and had views no one in the room tolerated

My j school years were similarly wasted. There were so many uninspired/mediocre writers in what was supposedly an "elite" program. They wrote little and read less. It was fascinating. Jobs at low circulation papers (instead of blogs, this was '00) were landed through networking

To this day I refer to UNC as a pleasantly landscaped "moo u" or "cow college," and fellow alum

That place sucked and blew, in the parlance of the gen x period when I was there. Bunch of frat kingpins and cotton-mouthed TAs and adjuncts
