which is perfectly fine. "___ party provides a patronage-type job to my parents" is about as advanced as this stuff gets, when you cut it down to the base. "____ party did more for me on this one specific thing." and it doesn't have to be economic.

and much of the cooler, "aesthetic kid" stuff is just your standard youth (or, in our age of arrested development, late thirtysomething) reaction to seeming parental uncoolness, since our elders long since became true single-issue voters in humphrey bogart-esque highwater dockers

but let me tell you, you're not gonna get a $100,000/month political podcast with this line of thinking, nope. "everybody's got an angle" and "they're all lying to you" are really what i mean when i say "the kids are doing the work," you see.
